What you want as this year begins may be in a state of flux. Any kind of expansion, be it in teaching, training or learning through higher education, to get the skills that you really need to make your mark, will require a great deal of commitment. Mars is in a volatile area as the year changes, and this forges a link with Uranus in your 2nd Solar House. The inference here is that someone’s influence, perhaps someone you used to work with, can be a factor in your progress, or it may be something you used to do many years ago can be repacked or reshaped into a formula that works for the here and now. But...the restlessness of Uranus in this sector, suggests that there can be sudden costs and sudden pitfalls. The trick is going to be in communicating clearly and effectively with people, and being constant in your aims and goals. Your astrology glyph shows two fishes swimming in opposite directions, and there can be a tendency for you to want it all, and get deflected too easily when things get tough. There could be serious ramifications legally, for example, if you go against the spirit of an agreement, or a contractual obligation. This is because of Saturn's opposition to the Eclipse of early May. This influence will last for six months, and people will expect you to honour what you say, and you will need to ensure that they do likewise. Yet from all this, growth is possible, but it may not be at breakneck speed. There can be some fortune linked to the family or property in the first six months, and some linked to a gamble you take in the second six months. But all through this, will be the discovery that your idealism and realism, may not always be in kilter. This can be particularly obvious, in the last three months of 2013.
