Year 2010...June...

So, how’s your year going so far? Well, I hope. But think back to those long distant New Year’s resolutions and ask yourself, just how on-message are you with these?

Has there been an attempt to stop smoking which has gradually crumbled, or have you magnificently kept the faith? Or is it the pounds that you have been keen to shed. Perhaps like me, you have got them off, only for them to creep back on again.

So here we are; racing towards the mid-point of the year and this will be an ideal time to take stock and go again. And there are some significant changes to tell you about. Not least from the start of June, as Jupiter and Uranus speed into Aries for a summer vacation, which is sure to bring a slightly impulsive air to proceedings, and after all the doom and gloom of the financial arena in the last couple of years, this may be no bad thing.

Yet the forces of conservatism will try to stop this redoubtable duo, not least in the shape of tiny Pluto, which is set to square them, and can anchor or aggravate the life out of them, by continually reminding of the need to be sensible and stick to the “party line.” So expect growth to come in spurts and then to ebb back again.

Your instinctive moves may well pay off well, just like I hope mine do, but there has to be an awareness to the bigger picture, which is where the dour Saturn comes in. Since the start of March 2010, this hard taskmaster has been in the precise and orderly Virgo. Fortunately, as May ends, so does its long retrograde. As does its face to face confrontation, with its bête noir, Uranus. Well, in an indirect kind of way, this isn’t going to really end, but their tussle will recommence with vigor and in exact opposition from the third week of July for a month. So expect there to be push and pull tendencies showing themselves in your personal relationships, attitudes or those of the world at large - especially as Mars barges into the argument in the last week of July. Then things can get tetchy, to say the least!

July 11th also sees a stunning Solar Eclipse in Cancer. The focus on taking care, being caring and also being thrifty can be a backdrop for the rest of 2010.

In September, Saturn, now back in the balanced and rational Libra, starts to really pick up speed and will reach the mid-point of this sign, by the year’s end. In October, sultry Venus goes backward for around seven weeks, suggesting that some deeper, more mysterious or darn right secret issues may be swirling around in any struggling relationship or business deal. But from the 8th of November, resolutions can be found. The long backward drag of Neptune also ends, at the close of week one, of November.

Finally, Mercury spins backwards in December, so before the family disputes about whose going where or getting who what gifts, factor in the knowledge all this may be a bit worse than usual and then chill out, realize perfection is an impossible chase, and see what life and love bring to you naturally!
