Astrology Overview April 2016

The month April, in writing is not dissimilar to ‘après’, the French word for ‘after’ and this month this April is full of afters. For in the yearly time table, April shows up after the clocks are reset, after Spring break and Easter arrives and this year, after two major Eclipses. With this in mind, this April, appetisers are overlooked, as we literally skip straight to the afters!

So what’s for afters then? Well, it looks like a ‘horn of plenty’ or a ‘fool’ this April could be served up. For this month sees the horned Signs of Aries and Taurus dominating proceedings, with the often referred to foolhardy Sign of Aries, the ram, in command as the month opens. As the Sign of Aries may rule the head, but at times it could do with head waiter service, by waiting and thinking of consequences before charging in headlong.

This could be likely to pose a problem or two this April, as appropriately the fourth month commences with the go forth and conquer Cardinal Sign of Aries, but this month it seems to have gone forth and multiplied as well. For as April begins, the newborn of the Zodiac not only still occupies Uranus bringing unexpected events, but you could say it has a Sun too, followed by the new birth of a New Moon on the 7th. While, Mercury makes the fourth place setting, but you maybe requiring a highchair, as this is certainly a ‘baby mobile’, with the Planet of movement and communication in action orientated Aries. So with so many Planets in fiery Aries, it would seem planetary influences move from ‘cradle to brave’ this month, causing an uncontrollable baby rash or over bottling.

However, bottling up too much explosive energy may force more than corks to pop on a personal and global level, as leaders collide worldwide. For Arian martial energy, combined with the burning Sun and unpredictable Uranus makes for less champagne and more a volatile cocktail, as last month exhibited among other ways through terrorism, when Mercury, governing transportation, progressed into Aries at 0 degree. Therefore, this April, caution is necessary, as the danger exists that all this combustible energy may ignite matters further. So, double-checking what follows ‘afters’ this month is essential, as there seems to be a bit of overcharging going on, in the form of an additional ‘fire-starter’.

As around the eve of the New Moon, Venus also enters Aries and you could say akin to an ‘a la carte’ dish, there is nothing to look at on this plate, in the form of another 0 degree. So as Venus progresses into Aries on the 6th, action is forced out into the public domain. At this time, places of enjoyment may come under threat, such as theatres, theme parks or large festivities, especially involving young women, or the targeting of financial institutions.

While, all this energy has a negative charge, there is of course a positive one too, in the shape of what you might call something of an ‘afterbirth’, with the 7th bringing a fresh start with the New Moon in Aries. So the opportunity for fresh initiatives and incentives to be put into practice for individual and government mandates now exists, especially linked to electricity supplies. For this New Moon is associated with electricity, but also with the spark of new ideas, creation or physical sparks between people. So romance is highlighted, great speeches or acting performances. With this Moon emphasising new beneficial partnerships in the UK, as the EU referendum looms ever closer, but less clarity for Canada’s relationships. Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s situation is revealed and the U.S also sees daily benefits going on at the White House and public stock exchange finances, as China’s personal security improves, along with Cuba’s shared assets.

With finances remaining a central theme all month, as money, Venus resides in Aries for most of April acting as the starting horn for fiscal projects. Only to see momentum followed through when security conscious Taurus takes the bull by the horns, entering Mercury from the 6th and the Sun from the 20th, as the cost of monetary concerns from individuals to universal benefits is stressed. However, this is not to say this month is without its locking of horns so to speak. As Arian ram Planets are at loggerheads with Pluto in the Sign of the Capricorn goat, butting changes, particularly from the 17th when Pluto retrogrades, stalling progress until previous flaws are addressed head on.

Although, Pluto is not the only Planet creating hold ups, as this month it is like waiting too long for the entrées, main course and fun to arrive. For April commences with both jovial Jupiter and sobering Saturn retrograde, at odds in Virgo and Sagittarius still, clashing furthering with Venus and Neptune in Pisces as the month gets underway. This puts extra obstacles in the way of resolving the migrant crisis, health sector problems and headlines the U.S presidential race, especially from the 18th when Mars stations in Sagittarius too. Whilst, there also seems to be an issue with afters as well, as from the 29th Taurus Mercury joins retrograde motion, so there may actually be a lot of ‘bull’ talking. As communication and movements are affected, but the valuable side of internalising this planetary energy underlines personal funds and how to make more efficient savings, being fortunate overall.

This further reflected in the lunar Moon’s beams this month, as the 22nd finds the finalising Full Moon in Scorpio, at which time the possibility of fairer deals to offset people’s taxes and personal monies could occur. Therefore, ideally then everyone could get a slice of the cake, instead of just the wealthiest top tier. This Full Moon financially favourable for Russia, Cuba once more and UN partnerships, as well as starring activity in North Korea, Iraq and France and at NASA, as science and travel is illuminated. Whilst, in general this month, Nepal, the Himalayas, Georgia, Mongolia and Guatemala are activated, along with Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, Japan, Portugal and Ireland. So this April, movements advance from Aries, chief to sitting bull, Taurus, but not without some reservations!
