Astrology Overview for WC 17th September 2018

Mercury and the Sun combine in Virgo for much of this week before they transit into Libra on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. With Mercury the ruler of Virgo, together with the Sun which is the life force, this is a wonderful opportunity to grapple with practical issues that are outstanding. Anything to do with life organisation, appointments, job applications, and the support that we provide to others can benefit from a reappraisal or re-energisation.

There is a potential downside however to this particular combination. Why? Well, with such powerful 6th House energies being generated there could be a tendency to focus on smaller strands of situations to the exclusion of the big picture. For example a detail can take on such a life force of its own, we find it harder to see the context within which it is contained.

However, this duo’s arrival in Libra does give us a wonderful opportunity to break free of this and to be much more receptive to the points of views and ideas of others. Mercury in Libra in particular can help us to be more detached and logical, even when other people have different viewpoints to our own. Relationship matters generally will come very much to the centre of things and especially with Venus is extended journey in the sign of Scorpio, which adds depth and intensity.

With Mars moving back into Aquarius midweek, and recommencing its square with Uranus in Taurus , creating a tense T-square with Venus in Scorpio, there could be some relationship turbulence. So the fact that the Sun and Mercury are going to be cooperating so closely in Libra, gives us the tools to try to apply a more harmonising and diplomatic response to any more testing energies we encounter.
