The week begins with the Sun gaining a foothold in the sign of Libra which is of course about balance, and also an air sign and therefore much to do with communication. But Libra is also about leadership, and this is a much less well-known facet of the sign. And in the four weeks ahead we have an opportunity to use the relating skills of this sign to improve all sorts of interactions with others. Venus is the ruling planet of this zodiac sign, and is about attraction, fashion, style, glamour, flair, and presentation and all of these can be affected or to the fore too.
Ironically, Venus is forging an alliance, in fact a conjunction with Mars this week. These are the two planets of love, one feminine, one masculine. And in the sign of Virgo as they are, this points towards balancing our energy and our output in our relationships but in a way which is helpful to other people, and ESPECIALLY to anyone were closely involved with. But with Neptune still on the other side of the heavens creating a murky mist, confusion and deception are also possible. So, if you find yourself attracted to someone it’s going to be important to understand your motives but also theirs too.
Mars however does forge another link this week which is incredibly powerful. This is with the planet of transformation Pluto , which itself ends a 5 1/2 month backward retrograde on Wednesday. During this time the energies of Capricorn combined with Pluto’s deep, penetrative and also powerful vibes, have led to quite a few international, and domestic shocks and stand-offs and power plays. However the combination of these two planets which are both the rulers of Scorpio, gives us an opportunity to really pull together all the things we want to achieve in a very determined and precise way. One of the reasons for this is that they’re both located in Earth signs (Virgo and Capricorn), therefore we going to want to see tangible progress and evidence of what we’re trying to achieve, and frankly there’s a good chance we can.
Also by the end of the week on Saturday, Mercury joins with the Sun in the sign of Libra. Mercury is very very well-positioned here, because this can help us to think very carefully about how we can achieve greater equilibrium in all sorts of ties, but perhaps also be a little bit more detached in or approach, for example considering the other person’s viewpoint more and not taking things quite so seriously. Although Mercury is the ruler of Virgo, it can be quite picky during its transit through that zodiac sign and also it went through its big retrograde too, so this is a chance now to let things flow back and forwards in a much more fluid way
