Astrology Overview July 2016

Well, a good breakfast starts the day off, but you could say that a break-fast for good starts the month of July off. With the EU referendum vote favouring a Full English over the continental option, but it seems not everyone is ordering a toast to go with this! Instead, choosing the Full English means that there are still plenty of remains and a great deal of extra side orders to clear up too this month!

So as July begins, rather than a clean plate, it seems for many a case of trying to make something palatable out of June’s leftovers. Though, planetary wise this seems more achievable this month, especially with Mars, the Planet of action moving forward once again from the end of June, coinciding with day to day Mercury now joining a Cancer Sun and Venus. This combination aiding the Cancer crab to come out of its shell and deal with matters this month, after being rocked by the previous month’s shellshocks. However, this July, there is still a definite sense of treading on egg shells, as this sidestepping crustacean tries to negotiate its terrain. Although, you could say it seems more crab terrine than terrain this July, with no solid way forward as yet.

Furthermore, with Cancer’s indirect approach, rather like a chess game, determining each player’s next move may prove difficult, particularly with Mercury, the Planet of movement and communications in the Sign of Cancer until the 13th. This made more arduous by the fact that the fluctuating Moon governs Cancer, creating quite literally ‘a state of flux’ in regards to the UK’s predicament. As the first half of July continues to see emotions riding high and changeable public sentiments, unaided by a still conflicted retrograde Capricorn Pluto and Aries Uranus. Therefore, Cancer’s hard shell may be necessary to withstand these variable conditions, as well as providing a degree of privacy too. So this month there will definitely be a sense that each country is not sure what the other is doing, as it is a Cardinal Sign rather than cards, keeping concerns close to chests.

However, the New Moon on the 4th may help to illuminate matters and herald in new beginnings, as it particularly emphasises business ability and the capability to go at it alone, but also quick tempered attacks, even the canine variety. Along with reinforcing adjustments between the UK and their partnerships, highlighting the UK people and presenting challenges to the French public. Whilst, this Moon also brings opposition to Australia’s head of State, as it undergoes elections this month, as well as financial upheaval in Egypt, shocks to Japanese partnerships and regression in Russia. Meanwhile, Canada receives surprise new ideas and falling on Independence Day in the US stars significant luck, accentuating personal wealth. This supported by other transiting Planets, specifically money Venus, residing in Cancer until the 14th.

For with Venus in Cancer, it means big bucks stay close to home, this no doubt being one of the driving forces in the EU vote, as under this Sign of the Crab, people voted to quit shelling out funds to the EU. So with the start of the month seeing the Sun, Mercury and Venus all co-joined in the compassionate Sign of Cancer, home in all its forms is highlighted, from living arrangements and care providers to general domestic affairs. While, the presence of everyday Mercury and fiscal Venus alongside the Sun, emphasises the importance of setting straight daily matters and finer details, along with the financial side of things. For you could say this month it is definitely a case of getting your own home in order, before attempting to deal with others. As the Sign of Cancer accentuates, as do not forget really the crab never leaves home, carrying it around on its back.

So with focus in general at home, away maybe somewhat overlooked this month, as war torn countries and migration see little positive advancement this month. With Jupiter at a critical degree as the month opens closely joined by the North Node also in Virgo, but a now retrograding Neptune in Pisces further hinders progress to an already stagnant Saturn in Sagittarius. This posing further implications for an already tense political climate, as rather than the crab the symbol of the lobster may be more apt this month, turning red when boiling, as lobbying gets heated. While, fever pitch is also on the pitches and courts, as the Olympics gear up, Wimbledon plays out and Euro 2016 draws to a close. As Iceland, spotlighted last month, does far better than previously expected, France and Germany are also in the frame this month.

However, containing this fever pitch may prove a problem this July too, as in Latin America; worries over the Zika virus persist. While, martial energy transiting France could bring further football violence and anger over shared interests too. As beyond sporting events, not everyone is being such a good sport, with Europe seeming to play hard ball over the UK leaving the EU. So this month, there are not only divisions in football. As opinion is divided, generally fuelling separation between people. Last month, this manifested in hate crimes, acts of terrorism and the breakdown of governments and political unity. This month, further activity is possible, especially when Leo Planets challenge Scorpio Mars, as from the 12th Venus enters Leo, Mercury shortly following until the 30th and the 22nd, the Sun. Positively, this brings pleasure and a focussing on sovereign powers, but negatively, safety is threatened in places of amusement, children may suffer and a shocking re-emergence of celebrity or power abuses, especially at July’s end, when we see Uranus retrograding also.

So July is not an over-easy month, as many scramble for position and the threat of poaching industries exists, but the 19th’s Full Moon offers a sunny-side up and a glimpse at how events might pan up. This lunar activity starring determination, patience and good executive powers, as everyday operations and capital settles, but taking a gamble at this time can also be beneficial. As changing ideas in the US are underlined, perhaps regarding elections. For New York receives a boost, Cuba further responsibilities and Palestinian people are affected. Whilst, Peru, Kiribati, Vietnam, Argentina, Iraq, Algeria, Albania, Maldives, Singapore and Armenia also hit the headlines, along with Switzerland, Belarus, Croatia, Nicaragua, Greece, Venezuela, Honduras, Pakistan and India. In sum, this July seems less about a Full English and more about preventing the fall of English and globally containing the buffet!
