Astrology Overview for WC 21st August 2017

The week begins with the Solar Eclipse in Leo. This Black Moon or 2nd lunation in the sign of Leo in the last month, certainly sends out a very powerful message not least that it links with the planet of spontaneity, Uranus . This energy is really pushing us to go outside our comfort zone over the next six months. Of course ironically Mars and Uranus were pushing us with the same message last week.

With the Sun and the Moon conjoined however in Leo, this is incredibly powerful, and with the North Node – the point of destiny, also in Leo, ever since early May, we are really entering a different phase. Now of course depending exactly on what zodiac sign you are this will have different meanings. But for us all generally, it really is a time of opportunity when it comes to being more devil may care, and embracing anything which gives us a sense of fulfillment. All this of course is driven by fire energy, so by firing ourselves up into action there is so much to go for.

Now, Mars continues in Leo to for this one last full week, and is in a great angle with Jupiter . This is more stable than its link last time with Uranus, and it can give us a sense of invincibility. This can of course be good in a way if it provides the spark to initiate, and relate to others in a powerful and meaningful way. What we do need to avoid doing however is being overconfident, or feeling everything will fall into our laps without too much effort on our parts.

Ironically, the Sun relocates on Wednesday into the sign of Virgo. If there are creative strands that we are developing, the trick is going to be in framing them in a practical way which gives tangible results. So this is the ultimate mixture of form and function.

Thursday also sees Saturn and its retrograde in the sign of Sagittarius. Any area of life which has felt particularly restrictive, and especially to do with knowledge, travel, international affairs, the law and so on, will stop start to ease up between now and December 19th, which completes Saturn’s journey through the sign.

The Leo dimension that’s been so potent however is boosted furthermore on Saturday this week, when Venus arrives in this sign, for a twenty eight day duration. This really is Charisma Central, and therefore there can be some real opportunities to be more playful sociable and self expressive, during this period.

Astrology Overview for WC 14th August 2017

The week begins with Mercury’s retrograde really beginning to bite home. But perhaps what is even more telling is the fact that Mercury is in an opposition with Neptune and right through till Friday. This is not an aspect to be taken lightly. Neptune is very shimmering. It’s fantastic for spirituality, the arts, creativity, and tuning into the less tangible sides of our existence, and especially now it is back in its home zone of Pisces since 2012.

But Neptune can also distort reality, and because Mercury is very much about facts and figures, and particularly in one of its two home zones as it is now of Virgo, this and the combination of the retrograde means that we need to be particularly careful when dealing with any kind of paperwork, administration, contracts, but also in balancing our health. Why would this be so? Because Virgo is about health, but it’s also about purity. Neptune rules the things that we tend to use in order to escape reality, so if we imbibe in those to any degree beyond what’s really good for us, this is going to impact on our nervous systems, which Mercury rules, and also a clarity of thought and action.

However ironically, speaking of action, there is a fantastic angle between Mars and Jupiter which continues from last week, which is just so trailblazing, and gives us the opportunity to live in the moment and be a bit more daring and see where it takes us. If there is something that you’re very clear about your strategy, but you also instinctively feel it’s the right thing to do this can be a fine time to go for it. We can have a sense of confidence that everything will work out fine. The problem with Mars and Jupiter in any combination is they can trick us into believing that we can’t fail, and clearly with the more challenging influences this week, there is the potential for things to go awry.

From Monday to Friday also sees Venus in an opposition with Pluto. In a kind of mawkish fascinated way, I find aspects between these two planets always absolutely fascinating. One of the reasons I got into doing what I do is simply because I’m addicted to knowing about people and what makes them tick. And this aspect is a great deal to do with our desires. Now desires are a very good thing because they gives us a sense of passion for life. And used in the right kind of way that can stimulate growth and provide great opportunities for enjoyment and in the case of Venus and Pluto a deep sense of unity when it comes to relationships and even sensual pleasures. Now clearly Pluto is about power, so if anyone seems to be quite seductively trying to tempt you into a get rich quick scheme this week or even a sexual relationship, you just need to be really clear about what your terms of references are and just how flexible you want to be about these.

The end of the week however does see the Solar Eclipse in Leo. This is forging an angle to Uranus the planet of freedom. Of course Leonine energy is very much about self-expression, so the inference is clear here that there is an opportunity in the next six months to get hold of whatever essential energy drives us on and try to use it to transform our situations but in a way where we don’t’s resist possibilities because it’s stepping outside our comfort zones. So this might be a scintillating period but also one that can create a degree of turbulence.

Astrology Overview for WC 7th August 2017

The week begins with the Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius, generating huge amounts of energy. As it links to the planet of opportunity Jupiter, located at present in the sign of Libra, all this airy energy is a counterpoint to the roar of the Lion, and where the Sun and Mars are located, along with the North node the point of destiny, in the sign of Leo.

If you think about it Leo is about actualizing our own individuality. With Aquarius energy is very much about the collective. Balancing the give-and-take in relationships between what’s good for us personally and what’s good for the needs of those people we care about is a clue of what this Eclipse will influence. As much as we may all want to pursue our own agendas, and sometimes it’s very important to do so, equally if we stay mindful of the bigger picture this can help us to find a good balance. However if there is any relationship which seems unjust – the energies of Jupiter, then we are going to seriously reconsider this in the following months.

This week continues to see a lovely angle however between Venus and Mercury, located respectively in Cancer and in Virgo, which brings a more nurturing and practical dimension to the situation. However Mars is also a truly influential planet this week. Why? Well he is forging a sensational link with Jupiter which can give us a sense that everything is possible, and also see is a lot more risk-taking. But equally he is in a Quincunx with the rather distorting energies of Neptune. It’s important therefore that when it comes to our desires that we are very clear about what these are, and whether they are realistic or not.

By Sunday Mercury enters a retrograde. He will continue to retrace his steps in the sign of Virgo through to the end of this month. He won’t re-emerge back into the sign of the virgin until the 10th of September. Yet it will be 19th September before Mercury returns to the point where this retrograde begins. During this period of time therefore being very precise in all we do is absolutely essential. As you will know with Mercury retrograde all sorts of snags and snares just seem to happen. But if you are travelling anywhere and in particular using airports or ferries, these with regular consistency seem to be affected more than most. Also handling paperwork, correspondence and buying and selling, are all going to require a higher degree of concentration to try to limit the potential for all this to unfold.

Astrology Overview for WC 31st July 2017

The week begins with the Sun burning brightly in the sign of Leo. This of course is its home position, and along with Mars is providing a fantastic level of vibrancy energy and drive at this time. This is a wonderful week for us all to embrace our creative qualities, and the more playful strands of life too. Look to be as self expressive as possible.

However despite this, Venus moves into the more reflective location, of Cancer on Tuesday, however she does make a fine link with the practical energies of Mercury, so if you want to direct the creativity that comes from the Sun and Mars into beautifying your home creating a new Home Office or working on the outside space to make it more pleasant and peaceful, all this can be a great thing to do

On Thursday Uranus goes into a retrograde. This will last for 5 1/2 months, and asks us to think carefully about our need for freedom, just how self expressive we feel we can be and are there any relationships in our lives, which are too codependent, or compromised by the needs of others.

The other big influence this week concerns Jupiter and Pluto. When these two are in a square as they are here, there can be a tendency to chase down our ambitions at the cost of doing things in a right and proper way. For example if we have an opportunity to progress but are tempted by a shortcut, one that may run against our values, or even be unethical or may see someone else suffer in order that we reach our personal goals, then do try to resist. However this aspect can still be very good for making progress, being self-confident, and showing drive, as long as we can maintain our relationships within our ambitions.

Astrology Overview for WC 24th July 2017

The week begins with with the energy being emanated by last week’s Leo New Moon still very much to the fore. This is a time to be brave about our hopes, and be determined to be heard. However with Venus and Saturn in an opposition, a pinch point could be reached in one ongoing relationship. If something really is out of kilter, this could lead to a complete end. Just as easily it’s an opportunity, to have a frank discussion, clear the air, and understand where each person is really coming from.

With Mercury returning to one of its two home zones on Wednesday, in the sign of Virgo, whatever we plan or do we need to calibrate the detail of things in a very precise way. This is a good counterpoint really for all the larger-than-life energy that the Sun ‘s combination with Mars and the Leo New Moon creates and can help to keep us grounded.

Furthermore, and ironically, Venus forges a fabulous angle to Uranus in the second half of this week and if there is a situation which does require a more radical approach or a leap of faith, this aspect can be very supportive. Yet in any relationship, if there are more possessive or clingy vibes, the Quarter Moon on Sunday, asks us to liberate ourselves from anything which is not truly generous of spirit.

Astrology Overview for WC 17th July 2017

The week begins with restless Uranus squaring with the Sun and Mars . With all three planets in Cardinal locations it’s possible that things could centre on issues of control or power. If you’re in a situation where your options are very limited, but the expectation of what you should contribute is very high, this is where the more edgy tendencies of Uranus can come into play.

However Venus forges a beautiful angle with Jupiter, one of the most upbeat and attracting of all planetary influences. On the face of it this can make as a little bit lacking in motivation because we would prefer to be doing more pleasurable pursuits. But if you’re lucky enough to meet someone for the first time this could be an encounter that really sizzles.

Mars also moves into Leo on Friday, an area which he is much more content in, and a transit which will last for six weeks. Anything to do with performance, creativity, the arts, or just downright fun, can certainly be given a boost by his arrival. This is supported by Mercury (already in Leo) and its fine link with Saturn. This is terrific for structuring our ideas in a very precise but progressive way but where we can bring an element of flair into play.

The Sun also arrives in Leo its home zone on Sunday but there is also a fabulous New Moon on the same day and the energy of this is going to provide a backdrop for the next four weeks, a time which can be incredibly vibrant and upbeat. This is the 1st of 2 lunation’s occurring in the sign of Leo in one month, the second will be the Black Moon, and the Solar Eclipse. With the North node, the point of destiny also now in Leo, this is an opportunity for us to all revitalize our hopes, in whatever area of our Solar Horoscope Leo occupies. But a sense of new beginnings, energies, possibilities is going to pulsate outwards.

Astrology Overview for WC 10th July 2017

The week begins with the tremendous intensity of last week’s Full Moon providing a very potent backdrop. Whatever our situations, there can be a degree of push and pull in terms of our needs and demands. With Mars and the Sun also combining in an obtuse angle to the strict energies of Saturn, there can be a sense of frustration and limitation if it seems emotional dynamics are overriding the facts or reality of a situation. Stand firm against anyone who tends to use a more coercive approach in their dealings.

Fortunately, a quite beautiful link between Mercury and Venus , does give us all an opportunity to levitate the atmosphere, by embracing a more playful and sociable vibe. So if we find ourselves taking something really seriously this week, it may be as well to just step back, take a moment to compose ourselves, and perhaps look at it again, in a new light. Also breaking out of pressurized situations and doing something completely different can also be very positive.

The Quarter Moon at the end of this week however, does emphasize the importance of balancing our individual desires against what is good for us at a more personal or emotional level.

Astrology Overview for WC 3rd July 2017

Mars and Pluto continue their feisty feud. We need to continue to know which disputes to engage with, and which to walk away from. Ironically, the Sun forges a truly lovely link to Neptune which asks us to try to react in a humanistic way to any tensions. Seeing why someone may be stressed or finding things difficult, can help us to marshal our own frustrations with them. If you are someone who enjoys fund raising for good causes or doing your bit for those who are less fortunate. If you have a more spiritual dimension in your situation, this too can come to the fore all week.

Wednesday and Thursday see dramatic changes in the heavens, with Venus arriving in Gemini and Mercury in Leo. Although there is that rather more nurturing vibe from the Sun in Cancer, these planetary relocation’s can create more sociable vibe. Inviting friends or family around for a gathering is possible, and this can prove to be very enjoyable.

All this week also sees a fine link between the steadying energies of Saturn in Sagittarius and the Point of Destiny in Leo. New strands, even if dramatic and different can flourish, if they are well thought through and planned.

Sunday sees a Full Moon in Capricorn but this does conjoin with the deep and transformational energies of Pluto and opposing the Sun conjoining with Mars, therefore care is needed around balancing the more emotional and practical elements of our situations and more broadly home and worldly affairs.

Astrology Overview for WC 26th June 2017

This is set to be one of most intense weeks of the whole year and begins with Venus continuing its fabulous angle to Pluto on Monday and Tuesday. This is an influence which can heighten our awareness of the people who are truly valuable to us in our lives. From this a romantic relationship could take on more energy and go through a sense of renewal, or it could be another close link that we can become more appreciative of.

Mercury and Mars are also in a tight combination in Cancer which will go on all week. Furthermore they forge a very positive angle with Neptune in the week’s first half. This asks us to tune in sensitively to atmospheres and is use our more sensory powers in the way we communicate. As it happens this can prove to be of vital help because from Tuesday till Sunday both Mars and Mercury go into opposition with Pluto. Mars in opposition with Pluto, in particular, can be one of the most tricky of all to deal with. There can be huge clashes of will, and people taking entrenched positions or trying to force their views on to others. Avoid people who are known to have more aggressive tendencies or even tougher parts of your locality.

If there is someone in your circle or workplace already who tends to assert their energy powerfully, you may find yourself being more irritated by them. Look to reinforce your boundaries in order to deal with this. Equally, be sure not to be too evangelical or dogmatic about any ideas you may have. Because Mars is in detriment in Cancer, and Mercury does less well in this watery sign, there could be a tendency to react too quickly to what people says, so avoiding a rash responses is essential.
Both Mercury and Mars also clashed with Jupiter, so if we make claims it is going to be important that we can back these up with hard and fast facts, and not be too self-promotional. With the Quarter Moon on Saturday in the sign of Libra, balancing the more emotional facets of relating with our ideas or principles and beliefs is also going to take a degree of care.

Astrology Overview for WC 19th June 2017

The week begins with the North Node, the point of destiny, angling towards Uranus, the planet of surprises. This is a great opportunity for us all to bring a degree of drama and panache into what we are trying to do. After the worthy and service orientated inverse journey through Virgo, now the North Node is urging us to show how talented we can be and the flair that we can demonstrate. In this alliance this could mean pushing the boundaries a little bit and being a little more daring around some of our hopes and expectations.

The Sun and Mercury also forge a fantastic link all week, firstly on Monday and Tuesday in Gemini, and from Wednesday in Cancer . When these two are closely aligned it creates a greater vibration around communications, and how we think, and there could be some moments of absolute ingenuity. But equally we could jump to conclusions around situations before we properly digest the facts so it is going to be really important, not to make assumptions.

HoroscopeAce App for Facebook, iOS and Android

However Mercury in the sign of Cancer is an inherently complex location, so until he moves into Leo on 6th July, we need to be sure that were not being overly subjective in how we receive what other people say. It’s possible to take things personally during this time, or misconstrue where people are coming from. The logic of Mercury is somewhat submerged under the watery energies of Cancer. Yet whilst the Sun and Mercury are side-by-side in the second half of this week and there is a New Moon in Cancer on Saturday, there is an opportunity for us all to think about the foundations in our situations, about our physical and emotional environments, where we live who with and how, family interactions, and the whole concept of security. Staying attuned to our senses is going to be very important for the next month.

The second half of this week also sees two very important trine’s, the most enabling of planetary aspects or angles of 190° . This sees Venus forging a deep bond with the planet of truth, change and power, Pluto , and also Mars forging a delicious link with Neptune . Venus’s angle to Pluto can make as much more conscious of the people who really matter in our situations. Everyday scenarios of shopping, cooking, routines, and the like can sometimes erode our consciousness of the value and importance of certain connections. These can become much more obvious to us. If you meet someone and really chime, this could turn out to be a very important relationship, where you may share a deep bond for some time to come. With Mars also in its trine to Neptune our own desire to get what’s good for us on an individual basis, is softened by the more spiritual and self-sacrificing impact of Neptune. So all in all the second half of this week can be a very interesting time in terms of our emotional well-being and interactions with others.
