Ghostly Happenings in Shropshire…

On a completely different front, I was interested to read in the local paper The Shropshire Star (who I write a weekly column for) that a group of local folk called “It’s Behind You” (love their sense of fun) had done a special nights vigil at the visitor centre at the scene of the Battle of Shrewsbury, of 1403.

Names of streets, hotels etc related to the battle dominate the landscape in the area, and Shrewsbury still has many medieval buildings fully intact. The battle was between King Henry IV and the Percy family.

It’s Behind You’s investigation at the site lasted four hours, and they wanted to see if any energy would come through for them. Local historians also attended, so as to reveal some of the background, to what is said to be one of the bloodiest battles of all time, in Britain.

The group reported contact from from a female Mary, who said she perished in a fire there and some of them also said they saw hooded figures, “glowing” in doorways. A Scottish man also came through, wearing a kilt and sporting a ginger beard. Group members also experienced their arms going limp, as if they were not connected to their bodies.
