Solar Return 2019

One of the fascinating things about the start of 2019 from an astrological viewpoint, is that we have three planets all located in their home zones, in the guise of Mars in Aries, Jupiter in Sagittarius and Saturn in Capricorn.

Furthermore, Mercury the planet of communication, is also in the sign of the Archer, so despite the fact that the Sun is conjunct Saturn in Capricorn as this New Year begins, which is inherently a very structured, disciplined and traditional influence, the more free-flowing energies and the signs of Mars and Sagittarius definitely bring an exciting flavour to the turn of the year.

With Venus also in Scorpio angling well to Pluto itself located in Capricorn, financial and international possibilities for movement and transformation are going to be strong. But all of this depends on the spirit of enterprise which comes in the energies of Aries and Sagittarius, and of course as both are Fire signs, initiation, initiative and dare will count as much as the more conservative energies that are still prominent in Capricorn.

The first week of 2019 Horoscope's Year, also has the backdrop of the Quarter Moon in the sign of Libra. This lunation occurred just before the end of last year, but suggests the Cardinality of these two positions can see issues develop where words need to be backed up by firm and solid actions.

Mercury in Sagittarius also forges a broad trine to Uranus, which has retreated back into the sign of Aries, where it will be until early March, before moving into Taurus for the following seven years. This combination further underlines that whilst we can be cautious, to really drive our fortunes forwards this year, we will need to take action in order to create results, and a degree of calculated risk-taking could pay off, as well as carefully marshalling long established assets well.
