Aries 21 March – 20 April
As this year begins Aries, an incredibly rare astrological alignment shapes up in the heavens. The constellation of Capricorn sees a gathering that gives you a superb platform for success. Think of the things that you have strived so hard to achieve over the last couple of years, and which may have felt somewhat illusive. In fact, you may have experienced some real frustrations, weighty responsibilities or barriers to success, but this year can bring a real breakthrough. All the hard work and perspiration can pay off, and when it occurs you can rightly feel a real sense of achievement. But your life role can change this year too. If a particular role or strand of life has run its course, be philosophical if you re-focus your energies on something that feels more meaningful in the here and now. That said, from March to 1st August, real growth is possible. With the gorgeous Venus adding extra charisma from 4th April to 7th August, and the North Node from 5th May also accentuating your communication skills, there is so much to go for personally and also in a worldly context. July can be your standout month for love and romance. Your ruler Mars spends an extended six months in your sign in the second half of 2020, and this is going to give you tremendous single mindedness. This could coincide with a time where you get fitter and more focused on new hopes and aspirations. However, throughout the year, a series of lunations reminds you to stay as flexible as possible. Uranus, the planet of surprises, can see you make the most of past skills and experiences but in a different setting or context. The summer could see a home move or improvement. This Solar Eclipse of 14th December, can be particularly positively fated.
Taurus 21 April – 21 May
You are a sign which does enjoy a degree of stability and familiarity. However, 2020 is about to shake things up and bring real opportunities to embrace change and new opportunities. You know the old saying Taurus, change is as good as a rest, and rarely will this maxim have proved so apt, with long distance travel, new exciting destinations and knowledge, and the chance to embrace some novel approaches. It might not all fall exactly into place as you expect, and the second half of the year can see a face from your past re-emerge, or help you to confront old hurts and wounds that have lain dormant deep within you. But this is a year when your sensitivity to friends and colleagues alike, can bring extra fulfilment. It’s almost as if you are going to have a natural antenna to pick up what is going on around you, or to sense the challenges that people are encountering. This simpatico will be of something others really appreciate about you. Mind, with Mars emphasising your relationship sector as the year begins, you will be keen to firm up your boundaries. So, this can see you investing in the people and situations that are truly worthy of you. With Uranus, the freedom fighter of the zodiac in your sign all year, this may mean that if certain ties and associations have grown somewhat stale, you may look to refresh them or move on. Financially, the Spring can be something of a purple patch, and this could add to a sense of serenity and of self-worth. If you are planning to be extra beach fit for the summer, your sweet tooth is activated too, so you may have to work at sticking to a diet plan. The chances of getting a newer car this year are very high.
Gemini 22 May – 21 June
Being prudent around your resources and treasuring your closest alliances, is going to be a big part of your journey this year. Saturn has certainly been pushing you to marshal your finances carefully, and he can continue to demand the same this year. But also, you could be really quite entrepreneurial, and work things to your advantage by speculating to accumulate, but in a step-by-step, measured way. Your love life could also develop interestingly, but staying grounded in your approach is going to be vital throughout the year, even if there is part of you that would like to be more daring, and even avant-garde at times. Venus gives you extra pizzazz as the year begins, but if you are looking to meet someone new, it may be someone very different to who you’ve been involved with in the past. A study group or a shared interest can be a fine way to connect, or may come from your growing interest in all things esoteric. 2020 can be wonderful for learning at a deeper level, what makes you tick. Some kind of deep transformation is possible too this year. This could see you letting go of some very deeply rooted past emotions that no longer serve your greater purpose. With the attractor planet Venus, spending four extended months in your sign from April 7th, the Point of Destiny and the celestial emotional pull from 5th May, you are going to be emanating a particularly evocative vibe. This can see you change your image or invest in your artistic or creative talents. Mars can see you more sociable in the last six months, and Saturn and Jupiter see you travel in December, or see you enrol for a course which can prove life changing.
Cancer 22 June – 23 July
This is going to be another year when your relationships are very much under the astral microscope Cancer. The Lunar Eclipse in your sign on January 10th and the Solar Eclipse of 21st of June, suggests your ability to interact co-operatively with others whilst balancing and celebrating your individual needs and talents, is key. Jupiter can bring fortune around a partnership of some kind, or give you much greater insights into how people are, and how you can make the most of those connections. The restless energies of Uranus are also set to be a primary influence all year. Even if you are someone who has tended to be cautious around the type of people you connect with, he urges you to be more daring, and as open minded as possible. Your friendship group or interests can go through quite a change because of this. People who challenge you can actually be something you begin to welcome and appreciate far more. You will realise through this, that you can grow the most. The spring can be a time when you think very deeply about others. You may even feel more nostalgic for someone from your past, which could include an old flame. With Mars occupying a very dominant part of your horoscope in the last six months of the year however, you can find yourself emboldened and keen to increase your profile and status in life. A new job, role or responsibilities are all possible, and extra praise and recognition can come your way. Long term finances can be boosted late in 2020, and your business acumen be enhanced. Ironically, it can be a mixture of greater self-confidence, but using your sensitivity to understand situations, which can be so helpful.
Leo 24 July – 23 August
This can be a year when you find yourself focusing on finding the right balance between how you support others and the practicalities of life, with your own personal needs. There might be some sensitive moments from 10th January’s Lunar Eclipse, but by the Leo Full Moon of 9th February, you could be clearer about how this feeds into your closest relationships. Part of the equation could be who does and contributes what in your closest involvements. This could be with family members, a partner or even with colleagues. If you have been feeling that your goodwill has been stretched by some of these people, finding a way to create a fairer balance is likely to be central to your thinking. You may also find yourself keen to get fitter as 2020 kicks off, and be really quite determined to do so. Fortunately, Venus brings you so many possibilities this year, and right from the off. So, even if you do want to firm up your boundaries, you can do so in a way which preserves goodwill. Saturn may have been quite testing during the last two years, but Jupiter brings some much needed levitation, and once you get the co-operation you want or give what others expect of you, a really constructive year is in store. Venus also helps to revive your social interactions, so if life has seemed more about work than play, this can change in the spring. Also, Mars can see you in a more carefree mode the last six months. With Uranus also making you more attuned to a new professional or career phase, you may find yourself travelling with work, or at least feeling much less hemmed in. A quite stunning Total Solar Eclipse in December, may seem to be late in the year, but it really can bring the curtain down in the most spectacular of styles!
Virgo 24 August – 23 September
There have been opportunities for you to thrive, but 2020 gives you a greater chance to actually capitalise on these, if you can keep the self-discipline and hard work going that you’ve been investing in recent times. And usually, being applied and focused is not an issue for you. What can challenge this, is the role of Uranus. His transit through your sector of travel, higher education, new experiences and independence, can make you mightily restless, unless you are doing something that really stimulates and engages you. The telling influence to assist you this year is going to be Jupiter, which is in a wonderful conjunction with Pluto from 9th of March to 1st August and 16th October to 4th December. This may not be a perfect process, but it certainly can be one which encourages you to believe in the parts of your life that you should be more daring around. The spring can also coincide with a fortunate phase in your career. Someone influential can be impressed by you, and keen for you to make the most of your talents. This can point towards a new job or greater recognition in an existing one. Time management is also going to be important this year. Again, your attention to detail is generally an asset here, but at times you may feel that you are struggling to keep all of the people happy, all of the time. In September and October, all this suggests that there could be some politics in one close tie.
Libra 24 September – 23 October
The base of your existence has come under quite a degree of astrological scrutiny in recent years, whether about where you live, how or who with, or around links with family members. Then again, you may have become much more attuned to your own emotional responses. All this has come from the transits of Saturn and Pluto, the heavyweight outer planets. But this year can see a real shift, and one you can greatly appreciate. So whether it is making the domestic changes you have long craved for, moving home altogether, welcoming a new addition to your clan or feeling more at peace within yourself, there is much to look forwards to. Once these changes are cemented and in place, you can find yourself in the mood and mode to break out and be more adventurous. In love, you may also feel emboldened, especially from April, and right through to the end of the year, to interact much more proactively with others. You are known for being very obliging to others. But ask yourself, since 2012, have you lost just a little bit of your own identity within this? If so, Mars transit through Aries from 28th of June, through to the year’s end, can give you a lot more desire to assert what you need from situations. This can be very helpful and fortify your boundaries, but also see others become more respectful of your needs. Career wise, the Eclipse of 21st June, asks you to pump up the volume and seize the moment. Your ideas are set to come very much into vogue as the year comes to a close!
Scorpio 24 October – 22 November
Being a Water sign you feel things deeply, but also appreciate continuity. But the planets in 2020 are urging you to express those emotions with more energy and verve, and you can! With your ruling planet Mars also in your sign as the year begins, your single-mindedness can be such an asset to you. A wonderful connection between the Moon and Neptune can also give you a psychic like ability to sense where you can be more self expressive and whom with. But Jupiter really is set to be influential. You may have found yourself thinking over your values in recent times, but this year there can be a real growth spurt, which could find you becoming more knowledgeable and more self-assured about the ideas that you have. However, from March 22nd through to 1st July, someone close to you may need your support, or you could find yourself adapting where you live to deal with your current needs. That most passionate side of your nature can also attract someone special into your orbit throughout the spring, and it can be someone who shares your depth or understanding of commitment. In a long-term relationship however, things may ebb and flow. You need to find a good balance between the tie itself and your need for your own free time. The second half of 2020 can see you very active in looking for a new job or getting fitter. September and October urge you not to bite off more than you can chew, so do know when to say no to people. But your ability to work hard is still going to be very strong, and if self-employment appeals to you, a home-based enterprise may fit the bill and allow for family flexibility.
Sagittarius 23 November – 21 December
The part of your situation linked to earning money and how you feel about yourself, has been under a lot of scrutiny in recent years. This may have seen one old income source dry up, or saw you unsure about your true worth. Through all this you have actually been learning a great deal, and now your guide planet Jupiter has moved into this area, all the self-analysis, discipline and hard work you have invested, can start to be rewarded. There is going to be celestial vibes throughout the year which ask you to keep working at finding the right areas to invest your time and energy in, and also the right people. But now your natural spirit of adventure and inquisitiveness can spark back into life, not least around your work, but do expect to see an improvement in your financial situation. However, as Jupiter aligns with Pluto from 8th March to 1st August, and then again in the Autumn due to both going through retrogrades, just try not to be too cavalier in your approach. Any gains that you have need to be carefully consolidated. Your physical vitality, enthusiasm and sex appeal, all take on a wonderful dynamism in the second half of this year. July can be a particularly wonderful month around relationship prospects. However, the standout moment comes with the solar Eclipse in your sign of 14th December, which will be so powerfully helpful. It links to Mars, the planet of drive, and this can energise you hugely. With Jupiter also joining Saturn in Aquarius, a new phase begins, but now you will be much more earthed in order to capitalise.
Capricorn 22 December – 20 January
The planet of expansion, and traditionally of good fortune Jupiter, is in your sign right through until 19th December. This is the first time this planet has moved through Capricorn for twelve years. He can give you the push to be inventive, creative and to actually start any plans you have that you’ve been thinking about, with real passion and enthusiasm. A very rare alliance also shapes up in your sign on 12th of January, with Saturn and Pluto aligning with the Sun, Mercury and the asteroid of nurture, Ceres. This can be a powerful moment, and help you to make sense of a process which has been ongoing, particularly intensely, for some time. This can prove liberating for you, especially with Jupiter and Pluto in a much more positive conjunction from 8th March. This can promote new beginnings, and with sparkly Uranus urging you on, your mantra this year really can be to go for it. People, rightly, see you as someone who works painstakingly hard at the things which interest you. But a much more outspoken you can develop this year, especially if you’ve felt that you’ve been too constrained by what others expect or demand of you. It is no bad thing to be single minded like this, but if you do choose to go your own way and tread your own path, just expect that there may be moments when you feel a little isolated. Some changes to where you live in the last six months are also possible. If you have long wanted to upgrade a property or move somewhere more tranquil, especially by water, be it the sea, a river or a lake, you can be determined to make it happen.
Aquarius 21 January – 19 February
Your traditional ruler Saturn, is going to join you twice this year, Aquarius. The first time he arrives is on 22nd March and he vacates on 2nd July, but returns on 17th December. This points to a clearing of the decks for some Water Bearers’ and new starts. But the psychological energies that have been so powerful in recent years are going to continue to be so, but whereas you may have felt at times on the back foot with this, now you can start to embrace healing and consciousness raising approaches like never before. Being an Air Sign, your logical nature may have found the very deep energies at play, particularly in the last two years, really quite testing. You may have had a crash course on who you could trust, or more likely, who you couldn’t, and if there have been any chinks in ties, they’ve almost certainly been revealed. This has probably been profoundly wounding, and there may have been a sense of betrayal by some. 2020 can however, see you embracing and mastering your vulnerabilities, and see them become much more a part of you. The midpoint between the Moon and the Sun also aligns with Venus in your sign, and this can give you an extremely valuable extra slice of self-love all year. Mars also asks you to believe in yourself in your worldly interactions, and with Venus and the North Node creating some celestial magic from April/May respectively, you can be at your communicative and much brighter and more enthusiastic best from the end of June. Also, expect to be a lot more active in the last half of the year, a time when your voice gets really heard. A real stroke of fortune can also brighten December. It’s all to go for Aquarius!
Pisces 20 February – 20 March
You may have found yourself a little bit unsure of your life direction in 2019, but this year things can become much brighter and more positive. Your instincts can be very strong, so listen to your sixth sense to make the right moves. Maybe some people have left your world in recent times, but you can find yourself making new associates in 2020, and enjoying engaging pastimes which have some kind of educational or knowledge-based dimension. In love, you may feel particularly nostalgic, but the combination of Chiron and the Black Moon at the start of the year, suggests it may be time to try to heal any gaps in your own personal confidence which are preventing you from connecting to someone more intimately. With Saturn moving through a reflective part of your ‘scope at times, try to let go of the things that no longer serve your greater good. With Uranus sparkling brightly in your 3rd House of everyday interactions, you can gain a lot by linking with people in your community, or enjoying hobbies or interests with a sibling. If you love technology, expect to be really engaged by new approaches, devices, games or gizmos. Making your home or outdoor space more comfortable are to the fore in the spring, but finances however, look peachy in the second half of this year. You can also enjoy gardening, country walks or any other pursuit which connects you close to nature. If you are good at cooking, you can find yourself more motivated than ever to cook things from scratch, and if you can invite people around to enjoy your creations they can be mightily impressed.
