On Wednesday 20th November 2019, 7:12PM GMT Mercury goes direct in the Sign of Scorpio, after its Retrograde, which began on October 31st 2019 at 27 degrees Scorpio. What’s the implications for us all?
We might well breathe a sigh of relief, and especially if we have experienced disrupted communications during this time. We may also feel some lingering effects, and any important strands may not be fully resolved until Mercury comes out of shadow on the 7th December 2019, when it returns 27 degrees Scorpio, where the Retrograde began.
But if we have been feeling a little scrambled or even misunderstood at times, then we could see ourselves feeling more relaxed. Mercury is the planet of the mind, so any doubts or misapprehensions can ease. Furthermore, if we have been awaiting news on a contract, negotiation or discussion, then hopefully things will soon be clarified.
In the sign of Scorpio Mercury is deep and penetrative, it governs finances, legacies, inheritance, contracts, shared assets, analysis, psychological thinking, very close alliances, business partnerships, investment, taxes etc – so these areas of our lives can begin to regulate themselves more smoothly. All in all, Mercury is gaining its Mojo back – so we could hear the news we have been waiting for!
Mercury is neither male or female, encompassing both energies.
Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and is also the smallest of the eight planets in our solar system.
Mercury has been known to humanity since ancient times and although its discovery date is unknown, the first mentions of the planet are believed to be around 3000 BC by the Sumerians.
Mercury is named after the messenger of the Roman gods, who is also known as Hermes in Greek mythology.
Astronomers didn’t realise that Mercury was a planet until 1543 when Copernicus published his Sun-centred (heliocentric) model of the Solar System.
