Patrick Arundell Astrology Monthly Magazine – March 2019
Hello & Welcome to your FREE March Astrology Magazine. A whole raft of energies shimmer in the sign of Pisces. This sees Neptune, the ruler of the sign, combine with the Pisces New Moon on the 6th and with Mercury in Pisces (in detriment) going into a retrograde on the 5th, sensitivity will be heightened, but so can the potential for confusion. Still, Uranus moves into Taurus also on the 6th, and that is very exciting for environmental and ecological reform
With warm wishes for this Month, Patrick

… Last month may have been about Valentine’s and dating, but this month is concerned with that all important date and big break-up! For if February was about snuggling up and watching ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’, March is more about ‘Brexit and tiffs a many’! Although, both plots arising some might say out of what transpires after a disastrous date. However, will the 29th March bring a speedy break-fast or be drawn out into ‘the long goodbye’? Well, looking at the planetary movements this March, it seems that ‘Moon River’ is still dominating proceedings, as with the Sun still floating along in watery Pisces as the month opens until the 20th, accompanied by idealistic Neptune riding along beside it. It really is a case of ‘two drifters off to see the world’. Though, as the song goes, this pair may find themselves less ‘dream maker’ and more ‘heart breaker’ this March, as they may find cracks begin to show in their fanciful way of viewing things as the month draws on. As this month, Europe may be left thinking of ‘the one that got away’, whereas the UK may wish they gave it another try! For you could say this March it is more a case of ‘romancing the stone’, as idyllic natured Piscean Planets literally find themselves run aground, facing an iceberg in the form of down-to-earth Mars in Taurus and sobering Capricorn Planets. These in the shape of Saturn and the North Node, as they now slowly move in touching distance of Pluto. Therefore, bringing a stark reality check to the proceedings so far, as this month feelings need to be put to one side to an extent, in order to achieve any sense of practical progress. Hence, utilised effectively, these planetary energies can be combined, turning dreams into reality. This especially by harnessing the attributes of Neptune in Pisces and Saturn in Capricorn, as they both currently function in their natural environments. This combination together capable of providing sensible solutions for those who are vulnerable and in need, but not channelled correctly, this mix can create an atmosphere of panic and paranoia or deception and avoidance, perfectly exemplified by the current stockpiling of resources in the UK. Along with Neptune’s influence, contributing to a lack of clarity over access to its goods, such as medicines, water, oils and so forth. Thus, working against each other these Planets can generate great chaos and turmoil, as Saturn creates divisions, quite literally in the US/Mexico border conflict and leaving the EU and its border controls. Whereas Neptune seeks to dissolve boundaries, so it is important to find a common thread to unite these conflicting attributes. Though, this may prove tricky this month, as from the 6th, everyday Mercury retrogrades in Pisces, affecting movement and communications in all its form, including individual thought processes. For Mercury and Pisces together is already something of ‘a fish out of water’, being difficult to fathom out. However, now these little fishes find themselves canned in, so to speak, restricted by this stationary period. As retrograde episodes throw ‘a spanner in the works’, as things never go as expected, instinct governing logic at these times. These acting as interludes when it is necessary to go back-over matters, wait and double-check. So this Pisces water-baby may find itself treading water or doing the backstroke, as progress is something of a front crawl. Furthermore, under this Pisces retrograding phase, it is likely finer details will be overlooked, as individuals get swept away by big ideas and initiating new ventures, due also to the 6th bringing a New Moon in Pisces too. This particularly linked to business, public office and the area of religion. Though, on a positive note, this lunar activity should help illuminate defects affecting those less fortunate and the suffering of the masses. This further accentuated by ethical Sagittarius in ruling Jupiter all month, this placement heightening pressure around religious and foreign affairs, as hidden and deep-rooted issues relating to refugees, asylum seekers and the Vatican among others, continue to unravel. This reaches fever pitch by the last day of the month, when Mars leaves Taurus and enters Gemini to oppose Jupiter and aggravate Neptune. This brings an influx of uncontrollable concerns to the forefront and onto people’s doorsteps. While money matters continue to cause anxieties this month, as Venus begins March on the last degree of Capricorn co-joining Saturn and Pluto, but at odds with Uranus. So those in authority may experience an unexpected shock when finalising costs, especially in relation to the needs of the older generation. This becoming a wide-scale worry when Venus advances into Aquarius, as the Sign highlights financial resources for society in general, as well as the travel and electronic industry. With further pressure and unanticipated problems created by the position of Mars in Taurus until the month’s end, joined by Uranus in Taurus from the 6th. This causing frustrations, potential violence and eruptions of all kinds, as like a ‘bucking bronco’, Mars and Uranus react against the slow, stubborn, plodding energy of that Taurus bull. These tensions overspill even more into the public domain as the month carries on, when Uranus already at 0 degree Taurus comes into contact with the Cardinal Signs of Aries and Libra. As from the 21st, the Sun enters Aries to the month’s close, with the Full Moon also at 0 degree Libra on the 21st. So expect dramatic changes and outcomes, especially with Brexit, legal and authority figures opposing the individual and those who go it alone. So March is a month full of conflicts, revelations, upheavals and backwards motions, as nothing may seem to go right until Mercury turns direct from the 29th now co-joining Venus in Pisces, but still clashing with Mars in Gemini opposing Jupiter on the last day. Therefore, this month we may be all ‘after the same rainbow’s end’, but first there is some ‘waiting, round the bend’. Therefore, this month it seems best to veer on the side of caution, in other words ‘jolly go-lightly’!
