Psychic strife

A world famous psychic who once worked for the late Princess of Wales has taken the British tabloid newspaper, The Daily Mail to court. Sally Morgan who describes herself as a professional psychic is seeking aggravated damages and an injunction to stop the paper repeating its allegations against her.

Psychic Sally Morgan

The case concerns an article written in the newspaper by the magician and former psychic Paul Zenon which was published on 22 September 2011. The article entitled “What a load of crystal balls!” and alleged that Sally Morgan was fraudulently claiming to demonstrate her psychic powers whilst, in fact, her entourage where feeding her information via microphones connected to a hidden earpiece.

Ghoulish Psychics

Another article (Only the lonely believe in ghoulish psychics) which appeared concurrently repeated these allegations.

Ms. Morgan argues that this caused her “substantial damage to her reputation, as well as hurt, distress and embarrassment”.

To add to her woes the story was carried in the national press and appeared on the internet (although she has only issued the writ against Associated Newspapers which publish The Daily Mail).

If Ms. Morgan wins she could receive up to £150,000 from Associated Newspapers. I wonder if The Daily Mail should consider employing a psychic (ghoulish or otherwise) to predict the likelihood of litigation in relation to any future articles it prints!

The Power of Crystals

We tend to think of the rich and famous as having oodles of confidence and their choice of the tastiest eye-candy but this is not always the case. Take Natalie Cassidy the UK Soap actress from Eastenders and Celebrity Big Brother contestant.

The Power of Crystals

Natalie, aged 28, ended a volatile relationship with Adam Cottrell last May and has opened up about finding life as a single mum rather lonely. According to Star magazine she has been confiding in friends that she despairs of ever finding Mr. Right. Adding to her lack of confidence she has to battle with her weight to keep the kind of figure TV producers demand. So what can she do to boost her self-image?

Cat’s Eye Crystal

She might like to invest in a crystal called ‘Cat’s Eye’ which dispels negative energy and provides protection. It also brings confidence, serenity and good luck. Cat’s Eye should be worn or carried on the right side of the body.

Hermatite Power

Alternatively, Natalie might benefit from using Hematite which is very widely available and inexpensive, this stone is also able to clear negative energies and boast confidence (particularly in women), however hematite should not be used over long periods of time.

Using red or orange in her decorating scheme or simply wearing these colours could also enhance her mood and increase her vitality – it will also stop her fading into the background both in literal and metaphysical terms.

Equally, she might observe that sporting a charm with the image of a lion on it will make her feel braver and more ready to face the world. Natalie may well also discover that by placing a bowl of marigolds in her home she will strengthen her heart; ideally these should be picked at noon when the sun is at its strongest.

She could possibly also benefit from adding a few peppery tasting nasturtium flowers as a garnish to suitable meals such as salads. If like Natalie you’re not feeling as confident as you’d like why not try one of these suggestions and see if they can help you put a spring back to your step?

Shaun Ryder’s UFO’s

Iconic if controversial rock star Shaun Ryder’s trailer for his new TV series is nothing if not to the point when he claims “I’m Shaun Ryder and my new show on History is out of this world!”

Shaun Ryder’s UFO’s

Ryder, 49, may be used to mixing with the stars dating back to his  time with hit group the Happy Mondays but now he is going where no rock star has gone before by hosting a TV programme on UFOs. The History Channel’s eight-part series Shaun Ryder On UFOs will see him travelling all over the world including trips to Peru, Chile and Australia.

The Salford-born musician has moved into documentary making after coming second on the hit show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! (he was runner-up to the X Factor contestant Stacey Solomon). It appears that the company Back2Back approached Ryder with the idea after learning of his long -term love affair with out of this world visitors. Ryder has commented;

“I’ve been obsessive ever since I was about 15 and I saw crazy things flying about the sky that defied the laws of physics. And it certainly wasn’t any air balloons or just lights or whatever. Around the late 1970s, early 1980s, there were quite a few sightings over the North; it’s well documented”. He continued;

“I watch the Discovery channel, the History channel, and I read everything in the papers every time there’s a UFO story. And what I saw flying about back then was going thousands of miles an hour, doing stuff that’s supposed to be impossible.”

He doesn’t believe Manchester’s exotic visitors are dropping by to catch his latest tunes though, his explanation for the city’s abundance of aerial anomalies is due to a wormhole over the area which he believes to be; “short-cut through space and time”.

Shaun Ryder will not be the only celebrity on the show as he will be joined by fellow pop star Robbie Williams who is also a UFO devotee.

Cool huh? Watch out for it…
