For many people, Easter is an incredibly important time in the Christian Calander. But why do we give one another chocolate Easter eggs? And why have bunnies crept into the equation?

The tradition of egg decorating has largely been replaced by the giving and receiving of chocolate eggs in the UK and US but in central and Eastern Europe real eggs are still decorated to celebrate Eastertide.”
